It's been a long time. Thank you for your comment. Yes, I was scared, because I knew bloat can kill and the time was ticking, but it was after all a New Years Eve. You can read about it here:
Flora will be turning six on the 11th of March. No, she never had bloat before. There were times when she would vomit about 15 min after eating, eat again the same food she just vomited and then she was fine.
She was never a fast eater, more of a picky eater and therefore more of a skinny setter (27,5 kg max). I was so cautious, so when the symptoms appeared, they took me by suprise. Good thing I was home! I can't thank God enough the vet on duty that afternoon was a surgeon! There were no complications during the surgery and after I think she is on a very good road to full recovery. She is stubborn again and that is a good sign, don't you think?

I have been reading your page and how much you love your dogs,Bails is 19 months now but we are still in touch with his 'original mum'(breeder) and have frequent visits.I feel so lucky to have him. Been looking at your pictures too-they are absolutely stunning!.Kind regards Tina
Hi Tina it is good that you keep in touch with his 2nd mum (you being his third..lol) it is so nice to be kept in the 'loop' re your 'kids'
I am sure that you will have many many years of fun with him....My baby is completely mental...she is 'gobby' and is really pushy with my oldest girl Saffy she has just been spayed...at the tender age of 8+ didn't want to do it but it had to be...phantom pregnancy's she suffered so much over the years with it....ah well what else would I spend my pension on...hahaha I think I would be very wealthy if not for the dogs....but very poor in spirit if I had never had them...all the best Dee and the many kids...
