Thanks a lot for the compliments on 'our dogs' - only one is ours, the boy belongs to Margaret who let us have him for a while. He is fabulous and through him I grew to love this breed even more.
cold here today the wind is humming.took dogs a walk it nearly blew me away.the puppies are ok i stopped until midnight and then went down at 6am and all was fine. so thats the first week over now.hope you have a enjoyable weekend
Hi Dee
It is my pretty tri-cololour English Setter bitch who is the "honorary" IRWS in my kennels. When my litter came last year, she was 8 months old and instantly became the young aunty, taking some of the pressure of the dam.It is a testament to the excellent temperament of the dam and the English girl that this was the case. Somewhere I have a photo of the English and 9 IRWS pups all piled in to a big cardboard box - hilarious.
Only just getting the hang of all the bells and whistles in this group format - quite sophisticated compared to Yahoo and MSN groups.
what a shame. dont like them hurting themselves. all well her though still very windy. had our walk it nearly blew us away.we go early before the people who dont live on our estate get to the hills. 8.ooam.ive been up there earlier this week at 7.30. its a very busy area. Its called parkhall hills. i live on parkhall estate. the hills are now a conservation area and its ripe with wildlife.
do you know the time on these clocks for mess is not correct to our time do you know where the time comes into it.If it came from the comp youre on it would be correct to us. Im glad you found something to treat her with. Its now pouring rain here so much for bank holiday for folk.So a wet walk tonight.
Dear Dee, I am sorry that I answered so late. I study at a university now and I have to study much.
I understand you. There are unfair situations many times on the exhibitions at us. Once above, once beneath. I got used to it already. The English judges like my dogs:))))
You will win again certainly nearest. You are already happened???
Best regards, Éva
Hi Dee,
well the beach is not quite that close to the bridge, actually... ;-) I'll send you the instructions on how to get there. It would be great if we met there sometime!! I have to warn you, though, that they will look incredibly dirty after the walk - sand, mud, seaweed.... ;-)
hi i was wondering about that time it had me right confused trying to work out when mess may have been sent. anyhow i give up on the time. The puppies are growing ok and im now waiting for there little eyes to open.
Hello Dee, yes, not much time for the setter-site at the moment. Too much work going and on top of it the garden. But mainly non-stop work for all the "summer-special"- magazines. And I am at least able to see the light in the tunnel.
Absolutly fantastic summer here...sunny days, one after the other!
hi i was at the county show yesterday got a 1st with willow and 5th cory though there wasnt a 5th rosette , it was a awful day of rain. The puppies have started to open their eyes ive not looked this morning yet to see if the others have. The start is so minute you cant tell till theyre wandering around trying to walk.
Hi Dee, any day would be fine for me, actually, just let me know when is the most suitable for you. Yes, I'm very interested to see how the three will interact. Busby's used to Irish setters as we used to go to the setter club obedience classes in Switzerland where there were lots of Irish, English and Gordon setters and they used to have a fabulous time (after the training, of course ;-) ).
Certainly no heating needed here!
but then last summer was a pain...constant rain (as in most places in Europe). But now the weather is just amazing...shorts early in the morning and its just wonderful to wake up to. I try to do as much as I can outdoors at the moment, like reading stuff and things like that.
Most of the grass has burnt brown with the sun, so only lawn-mowing in the shade :-)
but as soon as it rains it will get going again!
hi ive now got colours on my page ive tried a few and a photo of me instead of a shadow.ive been busy today with a few things anyhow ive cut the puppies nails they were clawing her.
well you are wrong for the venue its at st helens its somewhere we have been going a few times over the last year.anyhow yes there little paws and claws cant half do some damage to mum.
Monday would be great - I'll see whether I can find some detailed directions on the internet and will mail them to you. It should be quite straightforward, i think ;-) Hopefully, the weather will be reasonably good...
Hello Dee,
Just been very busy, and not able to look at ES much the last few days.
I judged in Queensland a few weeks ago, and at the end of June I will be off to Sweden to judge, for about the eleventh time. A most beautiful part of the world.
I will catch up with Camilla and all of her wonderful Irish, meet Laura Kolbach as well as see Irish friends from over the years. I also go to the World Show, so a lot of fun all round. Something exciting in the pipeline too, but can tell you about that later.

yes pups doing fine now. the claws were soon done they dont half wriggle when you hold them and you have to be gentle with them.k looked and watched to make sure i didnt hurt them.
I know, I shouldn't really complain about the weather ;-) It's not been too bad recently anyway apart from the strong wind at the weekend but my husband did the walks then so not too bad for me!!!
Looking forward to meeting you and your girls and hope my directions are understandable,
See you soon,
Nicole & Busby
