Thanks for your wishes and Bailey would dearly love to eat anything going. Just to update you he has now fully recovered although it took ages for his feathers to grow back. Just your nomral average very naughty Setter . Will post some new photos soon
'Diddy' Was by a dog called Lord Grumpy of Goldings who was 100% Wendover and was from the first litter that we bred. She considered her total reason for life was to hunt birds unfortunately she was only interested in birds that were flying. She would spend hours trying to catch swallows and was still willing to try just before she died in her 17th year.
Hi Chantal
the photo of Elton with the shiny coat was taken a couple of weeks after a show so we are very pleased to see the shine remain. I can tell you the secret,(make sure no one is watching) all I do just before a show is, he gets a hydrobath with a shampoo and a conditioner with an ingredient called (sshh tell no one) neem oil he then gets blown and brushed dry and a light spray of a leave in conditoner and a satin coat put on, this brings his coat up absolutely glowing.
He gets fed fresh chicken mince with dry dog biscuits (please delete this evidence)
cheers Peter
Thank you very much for your nice comments on my photos:) Greta started to swim when she was 7 months old. She loved it from the very beginning. Love to watch her in a water she is amazing! Wish I could swim as good as she:)
Hi Chantal ! How are you ? all well I hope & Darwin in good spirits ? Many thanks as always for your lovely comments on Lego's photos ! That crazy hair of his always cheers me up :)
What a happy message! The 'wee Irish' is already there, as just like O'Bama, my ancewstor John left Cork in 1849 for Birmingham. He was not a farmer, but a carpenter; but there was no work for any of them. So a new branch of the family grew up in the Black Country, Walsall and district, and they were all there when I was a boy. Now the survivors are scattered, and we, especially Susan, are keeping up the Irish in Switzerland. It's very green here too. I was in Cork some years ago with my late wife. Best regards
Hi Chantal ! seeing Lego's hair in it's full 3-d glory evryday always makes me smile, it's only fair to share the fun :) He's actually doing really well Chantal, the injection into the joint has worked brilliantly so far & he's flying around the place lke a puppy :) I only hopes it lasts a good while for him before he has to go back to Cork for surgery.
I'm almost afraid to ask but has Darwin been unwell or something? only when you mentioned his condition, it sounded like he'd been poorly & I don't remember you saying anything about it..if you did & i've forgotten ...so sorry !
Many congrats on your impending new arrival !! YAY!! i'm assuming another setter? when do you think you'll have him? any names picked? believe it or not i have my own little bundle of red joy coming very soon too :) we'll have to swap puppy pics.
~Take care & good luck with your new addition to the family xx
HI Chantal, thanks for the comments on the photos, most of them are getting old now so I should put some new ones on but where does the time go? These setters are very photogenic and Bella has definitely learned that it is in her best interests to pose for the camera! How is the lovely Darwin doing, is he continuing to do better? and what is this I read of a new pup?

Have to look for the photographs, some were lost in move back from USA in 2000, but I think I still have all negatives of litters and the parents.
