thought I would tell you this in regards to Miss Molly issue with the hound last night. Many years ago we were walking our IS Sharla Black lab came running out of the bushes of a house and barking and growling at her. She turns on him and somehow knocked him over. He ended up on his back. Hows that for a setter.
Next night he came out again saw her and ran back into his yard.I will never forget that night. Baby Molly is more like Sharla than Cherie but all different.
Hi Sherry! Thanks for your comments and invitation. I agree, It's really nice site. More live with irish setter, more friends have. Setter connected people all over the world! Thanks them for that and for their love to us.
Molly playing with her toys today. Poor thing the big orange cat just chased her she is now standing between the lounge and him too frightened to move. She just made a run for it. Don't know what has gotten into him lately he will chase her and scratch her nose, walk past and just stratch... poor Molly
Molly and Samson still the same. Molly was just sick not sure what brought that on. She has destroyed one of her toys so hope she has not eaten anything from that.
Maybe they need to roster a bit better for you at work. Not good. Day off is day off. Neck still a problem will email you.
thats fair enough re job. Molly is outside just about to let her back in. We are 15 hours in front of you. Better when it is daylight saving for us.
I will buy Molly another toy to replace this one and one hopefully she can not rip up and eat bits. It was in the bargin barrel and she sniffed it out.
Just as I am writing this a beautiful while grey cat came up to the glass door. I think it is the million dollar rare variety from next door. If so should not be outside. Anyway Samson sees it and rushes to the glass and off it goes. I think our Samson has a few issues lately. Molly seems o.k.
i think he is... being a real little pain at the moment. Molly is so good gives into him heaps but not quite like Cherie who was afraid of him. He is a bully and should stop.
Molly can open the back door now when locked. Only way she can't is when I bolt the top but the other lock she can work out how to open. They are all out of control here.
Hi Sherry ! how are things ? Hoping you & of course Miss Molly are all keeping well.
I'm glad my beastie's hair made you laugh again :) I have to admit...it's hard not to :)
You should see it on a windy day, non stop smiles from me. Tragically my own tresses are not nearly so glamourous nor note worthy :) He's in great form at the moment, his last injection has really helped him, he has a new lease on life, leaping around the place like a pup ! let's hope it lasts.
Bye for now & thanks as always for the lovely comments Sherry xx
Yes Sherry, it's great, I'm hoping it will last for a few more months at least, fingers crossed. I suppose it does look like he's looking at his hair :) he was actually keeping one eye firmly locked on a pidgeon on the shed roof, ever the Setter :)
Sorry to hear about your impending storm, weather here not too bad at the moment and we rarely get major storms, just as well as Lego doesn't like thunder & poor old Con was terrified of it, Theoden...not so much, he's alot calmer. You're lucky Molly is not badly bothered by them, especially of they're fairly regular. Batton down the hatches my friend !
Ah that's so cute Sherry. She reminds me alot of Con, he was big into his teddies, would groom them even especially the ears :) and he'd do those funny rooing noises and little growls when he wanted to play & I'd have to try & take the teddie away. The boys however are very different...all toys especially soft ones or ones with squeekies must be destroyed a.s.a.p :) Haven't bought any in ages, they prefer big rawhide chewies instead...last longer than the toys too :)
Yes! That's Dudley as a puppy. His former owner gave me a pix. She said Dudley was the biggest and most mellow of the liter of eleven so she picked him. He's been mellow throughout his life. A non-barker and a companionable fellow tho mischievous.
At the moment Dudley is 'in the doghouse.' My husband and I went on bike ride that took longer than expected. Dog walker forgot to come by. When we returned Dudley went out, returned to the house and then 'had a messy accident.' We were terrified Dudley had become incontinent but vet said Dudley was 'acting out,' angry at us for being left alone for so long. Can't blame him.
Dudley also hates seeing us pack for a trip. Sight of a suitcase makes him tremble with anxiety. Sadly he won't even look us in the eye when we try to say 'goodbye." I feel guilty for going away. His intelligence is scary!
Sherry, Thank you! Yes it is a beautiful place, if a little wild and windswept right now! Darwin is still having problems. He is bandage-free now, but we are watching him carefully in case he goes back to this lick sore. His poor paw is even a bit worse, because the shoe he was wearing when it was wet out side, to keep his bandage dry, has chafed his wee paw!
Hopefully he will stay away from it ... cross your fingers! David

Baby Molly exactly the same here with her toy.
