All Bus Éireann adverts feature an Irish Red Setter as its the company logo. Love that old advert;o) Lovely happy dog!!

That is true Carmel. The logo can be seen on the bus. Sometimes you can find the bus stop signs for sale on eBay.

One of the thing i remember from all my holidays in Ireland seeing the Red Setter on the buses, my mother used to get fed up with me saying i want one of them dogs (".)

I have never been to Ireland Ellen, but have always wanted to go there. I am glad your dream came true. Irish setters are the best breed in the world, I think.

I have owned Irish setters for over 30 years and find it hard to believe how many people have never heard of them or have even seen them. We often get asked "What kind of dog is that", but often hear "someone I knew used to have one of those".

It seems everyone I know either had one or knew someone who used to own one;o)) The country must have been full of red setters in the past!!;o)))))
