Esther - since eyewitnessing a showsetter while chasing a rabbit being hit by a car subsequently dying, I never train in areas with roads without a collar. There was no need to use them!

nr. 2 seems more as if the dog stopped to watch something, without smelling the game
nr. 3 as you said shows a drawing not a point (the pose of her body is just beautiful, I only miss the top of her head:)
nr. seems more a point by sight than by smell

e-collars: those who think these collars make the dog suffer or they hurt them badly, never tried it on themselves. it's not a pleasant experience (this is what the collar was made for), but neither an insupportable pain for a human being! dogs have a higher tolerance of pain.

It was a point on a couple of partridge meaning spring is arriving (in winter they live in clutches). Petra you are very near, two is a sight point on hare. But three and four are on smell. Good to know there are people here able to enjoy and "read" a point, thats an art!!!
