Well had to share this with you as I know you will appreciate it. Today Reuben actually did a walk nicely on the lead wir go headcollar but lots of stopping changing direction and treats. Could be different tomorrow but today I happy. Then all evening I have left cat food down and he hasn't touched it (been training very hard on this one), obviously still hassled the cat tho! Then started barking ( a lot which is quite rare for him) at French doors into garden. First I thought it was the stars but on investigation realised a dark sheet had fallen off the washing line and looked like a body laying down. Oh joy was he alerting us to an intruder on his territory????? He certainly didn't like it whatever the reason. And lastly got attacked by a grumpy spaniel but got over it without too much fuss. The spaniel owner couldn't call his dog off Reuben and was looking nasty for a while but thankfully all is well. He did apologise and say "all he is interested in is his stick", now where have I heard that before!!!! Anyway sorry to bore you but am a proud Reuben Mummy! ( I know, I know , I mean owner), lol

It is meant to say 'without
headcollar. Apologies for typo but in the bath, posting from iPhone. All I
need now is a big glass of wine to end my day with perfection!
Congratulations Louise. Lovely to hear all the hard work has paid off. Gotta love these beautiful red dogs.
Thank you Barb and Fran and well done Fran on the agility class. Now all I have to do is teach Reuben to bring me the wine...
If you manage to teach him to bring you wine could you come and teach mine to do the same!!
Seriously though, I'm really pleased for you both.
Sometimes it feels like we are never getting anywhere with our dogs, then one day everything seems to click into place and we realise that our dogs are all very well behaved!!
I had a very proud moment with Jensen today while playing out in the garden enjoying the sun!! He's normally very good at dropping things on command when it is items he knows he shouldn't have, but when it comes to dropping a toy so that I can throw it for him, he thinks its much better to run round the garden doing his funny play growling noise which says "chase me chase me" to which I oblidge!! But today I said "Jensen drop" when he had his ball and it did it, not only that but he did it again and again and even did it when his "daddy" said it, so was really proud!!
On the down side though one of my cats brought the neighbours budgie home as a present, thankfully still alive, or at least it was when we took it back!!
