I live in the County of Cornwall, United Kingdom with my husband Ian and family of Irish Setters. They are firstly our pets and all live in and have access to the whole of the house. Our family had our first Irish Setter in 1976 and since then I have had great fun and enjoyed some success with the dogs I have shown and of course meeting lots of new friends over the years. The picture shows the foundation bitch of the Polmennor's, Lynwood Castaspell Over Polmennor, she was my very special 'Magic'

Hi Angela,
thanks for your comment on my card. Hope you are having lovely Easter as well.
I really like photos of your pups- they are sooo cute!
Best wishes,
Agnieszka
Hi Angela,
Thank you for your reply. I will probably worm Kim as she comes in season and not while she is in whelp. ( Well I hope she will be in whelp this time as it will be the third time I am trying for a mating with her!) Like you I did not even take an aspirin when I was pregnant so I don't think it is wise to give anything to a bitch in whelp either!
hi Angela, the pointer club just had their club show today with martin falsey as judge. i was his ring steward and driver and so we talked a lot irish setters as well, he told me about his girl he had from you. funny to meet a stranger in the morning and discover very soon that there are connections.
hope you are well and your accident girl recovered totally!
i think, Martin and wife enjoyed their stay (flying home tonight), just wish the weather was better, it has been raining HEAVILY for days now, he will surely tell you about the water mass flooding the streets. budapest is so beautiful in spring (as well) and you just can't get the same impression in pouring rain... i lent him my rain gear, a big green coat going to the ankles, he looked funny in it but at least he did not get wet all over while judging. he is a really nice man with great humor. i think he was very satisfied with his winners, and after judging he got to know that he gave top honours to a family, like BIS to the daughter of the veteran bitch (who went res.BIS). everybody was satisfied with his judging.
was just thinking what would have happened to Willow if this had happened 20 years ago, when no physiotherapy was available... but i am happy that she is okey and recovered well.
first of all: happy b-day! think i was on my trip to get my sweet (???) baby here... in fact she is a little monster with lots lots lots of energy. i know i know, she is a happy puppy and it should be like this! but i am a bit grateful every time she sleeps for some hours :-)
I DON'T WANT TO HEAR HORROR STORIES !!! :-)))
my Danka (also Coppers) was also a very naughty puppy, think it is genetic :-)))
yes, i saw Martin's win on the UK-Ireland site, will have to write to him, just wish I had his mail address. my home PC crashed with all mails and addresses. maybe you could send it to me in a private message? thanks in advance!
now off to my golden friend, she has pups at the same age, little devil needs to get tired. only had 3 hours of sleep last night...
hi angela, no we have not been showing for a while. louise has said she is looking good at the moment so we might be back in the ring soon. Also we would like to get a youngster in the next year or so. louise is missing the showing. Thankyou for asking how we are. Most importantly Mia is absolutely lovely. We are thinking about going to the sponsored walk at poundsgate inaid of irish setter rescue.
Thank you, Angela. For the first picture Glen was watching another dog hunt grouse, HIS grouse, that is why he has that look on his face;-))
We then had a fabulous holiday in Scotland and will def be back!
kind regards
Susan & Glen
thanks Angela, he arrived fine, he didn't even pee in his box, the new owner is so happy with him, there is a picture of the two of them on the blog a little bit futher down

hi Angela, thanks for thinking of us. we are okay, the sludge is about 130 km away. the worst thing is that the sludge is near the rivers by now and if it gets into it, that will definitely be a disaster for flora & fauna, with all the chemicals, lead and other stuff in it :-(
just read that the animal rescue organisations are out now to help all the dogs, many burnt their legs in the sludge and many going blind because of the same :-( (and i do not dare to think about that the whole maybe was a human mistake..............)
Drift had a malignant tumour on his lower eye lid it was removed three times came back each time after about 6 months. but became inoperable the last time. and grew so fast that it was time to let him go,

Hi Angela, Sooo Lovely to hear from you, Cara now owns me for two wks and she is such a sweetie, the other girls are starting to play with her and have stopped asking me when is she going home!!! I have two other Irish red setters, Grainne who is a working breed and Laoise ( Gwendariff) is 4yrs old. All going well Cara will be going to her first show in Feb, Ithink Martin is going to bring her sister, (no pressure!!!!!) I was going to wait to get a puppy in the summer, cus I lost my old girl Hayley(15yrs old) and she was my first Red, was heartbroken after her.... Was telling Trudy Walsh and she was telling me about Martin and the rest is history, Knew I was going to come home with her: Her Tail never stops Waging HeeHee. Great to hear about her parents and grandparents,. Martin is such a nice guy, we are always in contact, Take care to you and your Redsx
Hi Angela thank you for your comments,we got holly in Wales her sire is Tredura behind the mask and Redgirls princess all her tests are good and she is the joy in my life .your dogs look beautiful. I am going to get in touch with the breeder for some advice,is there a stud register you can go on?
Irish. He's 10 months old and we've only just started showing him as he's a bit of a late developer and I didn't want to rush him. Next step is hip score.
Thank you for your good wishes, Angela. We are hoping Bramble can share our lives just a little longer! It would have been dreadful to lose her to the dreaded bloat.
Hi Angela, found you on here recently and thought I would say hello. Have not been to St Just for ages. Brian had to have an operation and I am waiting for treatment on my hip/back. Hope to get down soon, how are you and your family of Irish? Say hi to Sue in PZ and also Wendy if she comes to rising craft with Orlando.

Hi Angela. I've already got Dee's D.V.D. and I've found it very helpful.
Rigsby's parents are Ace Of Hearts By Suteresett (Dam) and Northamber Just Cause For Glenavna (Sire).
Rigsby's a bit of a nervous Nellie so I've taken it slow as we've got plenty of time to get it right.
