About Me:
I got my first Irish setter 8 years ago, I was hoping to have a litter from her and keap a puppy but she had her first epileptic fit at 2.5 years and I would not risk her passing fits on so I got my second setter 6 months later. They get on very well, they both love children, the older one has aged early and cannt walk very far.(Add on August 2012) Now I have my third Irish at 8 weeks old.

Hi Angela, you asked was my dog a pup and yes he is he's only six months!  :)

Hi Angela, many thanks for your comment. Rusty was an Irish red & white x with a red setter, He'd been a stray in Ireland and I got him from Dog's Trust, after losing my last English, Darcy, just before his 12th birthday. But only had him six months and he was such a character and was always jumping on the kitchen table from standing. He had a huge tumor next to his vital organs and the vet was very reluctant to operate. Broke my heart. Lost him 2 days before going on holiday and a friend phoned me up to tell me about Meg. To cut a long story short, couldn't leave her. Got house checked, picked her up and tn all my other setters used to ! But I am still stupid over setters and always will be !

My parents originally had two English, Jodie and Tobie. I had my first English, Ben for over 13 years. He was such a lad  and I still talk about him after 20 years. Managed to last six months without him, then went up the pound and came back with a Jack Russell cross collie, called Patch and yet another character. After two years got Darcy and they established a 'working relationship', but when I lost Patch, Darcy became a totally different dog, having been hen pecked so long by Patch, . . !

Will try to load photos soon.

Thank you Angela.  My Red certainly has a very white face now.

    Thank you Angel

We are presently away from home visiting family in USA but once I am home I will try to upload some photos etc.

We are in the process of waiting for the birth of a litter to see if we can become the proud parents of another setter - so exciting times.

  • Baileys' Page!

Thank you for your friendship Angela. It's lovely to meet you. My three setters!! What a handful you must have!!. But never a dull moment either. I have my hands full with my young setter Bailey and my little boy. And i think Bailey is more demanding! lol. Tina

  • Baileys' Page!

lol! Ive just managed to stop Bailey chasing bikes/joggers etc! My little boy is not yet walking he's only 9 months so at mo im just chasing Bailey around! But all that will change as soon as Mattys toddling-i'll be running around after the two of them!!

Hello Angela, my Ruby and Poppy are so "Wild Irish Roses" so much so, I'm planting two roses which are new releases here in Australia calked sweet perfumed Irish girls! The roses names are Sweet Caitlin and Sweet Calin! I'm quite sure my two girls will mature into sweet Irish girls!! :0) the roses will need to be in the front garden...all us setter owners know why otherwise they won't get a chance to mature either lol. These two girls make my eight year old Flame look like one of the lambs we raise :0)) Take care Dianne and Irish x

    Happy Birthday Angela!

I think a discussion on ear issues would be interesting, whether it could possibly be related to seizures or not, it's something we all deal with in our long eared dogs. How many people flush etc, or battles yeast...You should do it Angela : )

  • Baileys' Page!

I am so sorry Angela, i have tears streaming down my face. My heart is with you at this tragic and terrible time.Love Tina and Bails xxx

Thank you, Angela, and yes, I do like to take pictures, mostly land- and seascapes but lately of dogs, too. It's a real challenge, though, to capture high-spirited setters. You got beautiful dogs, by the way. Where are they from?

  • terrie lynn stauffer

Dear Angela I'm so sorryto read about you saying goodby to your older setter Abbie. I know how hard it is I had to say goodby to my faithful boy Radley on April 5th 2013 this was very hard so I really know how it feels. GOD bless you in your time of nead.

    Terrie
