About Me:
Me and my husband have always loved Irish Setters we got our first one 20 years ago and have now owned 4 in total, we also used to own an American cocker spanial. All the kids have grown up and given us daughter-in-laws and 8 grandchildren. But our setters remain our babies!!

We have two new puppies this Year so now have three running round the house, I have also started showing my puppy George (Cordarragh Schubert) he is quite naughty around the house.

Cordarragh Schubert

Posted on October 31, 2011 at 3:11pm 1 Comment

Cordarragh Schubert aka George is nearly 9 months old and at Midlands County Show last week he was placed 2nd in minor puppy and has now qualified for crufts, he has gained a few over placings along the way. It's a learning curve for both of us and we have met many new friends along the way. Throughly enjoying the experience of showing.

They leave from Steve Lennox's house for a 5 mile walk with many setters in tow and on their return enjoy a garden tea party - dogs included. If anyone would like to sponsor Paul and Charlie (Charlie goes twice as far as Paul) and my 7 year old… Continue

Hi Anne. A very warm welcome to our group. Your dogs are beautiful. I'm sure you will enjoy it here. A lovely friendly place to be.
We are from Australia. Have two Setter girls, one Irish & one English. We got them both as baby puppies together and they are now 7. An absolute joy to have in our family.
Again welcome.

It's always sad to lose loved ones and I;m sorry you lost your Dad and have had more losses already this year. Often though as I know as one door closes another one opens and as my mother always says, things will get better and being an optimist she can always see light at the end of the tunnel. I hope your year gets better too.

I'm truly sorry to read about even more bad news for you. What a shame to lose Fred so suddenly, thinking of you and hoping that things quickly start improving for you.

Thank you for your kind words, Anne. I know with your Fred it was a terrible shock. At least we knew the moment was coming for Shannon but it is a very hard decision to make. Luckily the house is not empty as we still have our other Irish, but it has gone quiet. Shannon knew how to make herself noticed;-)
All the best to you in this hard time
Susan
