How many Irish Setters do you have?
6 IS and 4 IRWS
How long have you owned Irish Setters?
since 1984
About Me:
We are both keen hunters, Field Trial judges with international experience and breed Irish Setters with strong scandinavian influence. Recently we 'adopted' an IRWS lady with fantastic hunting skill and entered the circle of IRWS breeders as well.
In 2009 I also became FCI show judge for pointers and setters. Thanks for all support on that long way !

What a day ! Point on pheasant and a final point on snipes made handler, judges and audience more than happy with HIM. And not enough with winning the trial on 1st of april with a strong 1st EXC, he also finished for the title GERMAN WORKING CHAMPION and is one of the rare working and show champs.

Dt.Ch. (VDH) & D.P.Ch. / German Show Champion & German Working Champion

New Champion from Kennel Lohmann !

How proud can we be ? After several attempts we were able to buy him back as "useless". In his new home he was trained and started on trials and...lo and behold...came back home with win after win, including CACT. 31st of march 2012 saw him win the trials near Berlin with 1st EXC, so he may now be called

...and one more champion from Kennel Lohmann ,-))))

What else ? She did win the first trial in France this spring with 1st EXC and CACT. So now it was time for showground and with a 1st EXC on CACIB Colmar, she may now join in for the title

Champion de travail automne & printemps / French Working Champion spring and autumn

Good luck in 2012 - little Abraxa

ABRAXA VON DEN WIESENSTROLCHEN, daughter of our canadian redhead VDH-Ch. Russell's Kismet (better known as ELI) and new Int.FTCh. Lohmann's Odwaga, has left Germany.

We hope that her new kennelmates will teach her everything necessary and the chances are not too bad to learn as she lives with Urtis and Apache.

Yeah, Gene has been our "fairy godfather". It takes a lot of work to create and manage such a group. Specially if it will continue to grow by this rate. In about 10 days there are already over 90 members. And from so many different countries. Hope it will help people appreciate the differences in the breed. Love, Alenka

Hi, Christiane, thanks for info about Ruby's grandmother, i am so proud she has europian insestors.
Your work with Setters sounds very interesting, keep me posted about your success. As known Irish Setters are not retrievers.

Hey a party is always nice:))))) We have big party here now, part of the village is one big Bierstube with schlagers as well.

So you are a virgo.... How does that feel.

WC Belgium, probably English setters and pointers. In a population of many thousands we have in Holland only a few IS qualified: Drumrue Kerry, Pallas Green Gina, Redwing White Lightning.

Whats the German team????

Good new on the whiskey!!! I got three bottles this week, all from hunters.

See you Henk.
