Another good day for the new Clannrua puppies!! Sheila and Darby(Clannrua Donard at Cloonminda) went best puppy in show at the Irish Breeds Championship Show in Dublin today! And Alison brought Molly(Clannrua Nephin Beg) out for the first time and she was 1st puppy bitch!! Molly is quite the character and had to give the judge(Sean Delmar) lots of kisses!!!!!! Megan and Rua both got 3rd placings and were graded ex. Met lots of good friends too!!! ;o)

congrats. I must say that compared with the setters here in the states yours are smaller. Is that the case with most of them over there and in Europe? I actually like the dog a bit smaller like yours are. I have field dogs and, of course, they are smaller but I prefer them that way. I only wish I could get a little bit more hair. I really like the shape of all your dogs heads. Really nice.

Thanks Phil! Our breed standard states that setters should be 23ins to 27ins for males and 21ins to 25ins for females. My Rua is almost 25ins and is considered to be a tall bitch!! Check out www.irishredsetterclub.com for breed standard!!
