Home for Irish Setter Lovers Around the World

Unfortunately some people tell lies about other people's dogs because they're jealous or they don't want someone elses dog to mate. This also happens with one of the dogs we've imported from the UK: Wickenberry Capsicum.
Mr. Willy de Wilde (kennel Queenstone, The Netherlands) claims this dog died of epilepsy. Thankfully several people told me about this malicious gossip, so I can try to get it out of the world.
Capsicum is still alive and he is in good health and has never had a stroke/fit or sign of epilepsy in his life!
I've confronted mr. de Wilde with this, but he doesn't respond....
It would be nice if people start telling the truth about their own problems, instead of telling barefaced lies about other people's dogs. Some seem to be too hypocrite....
I sure hope we all have the health of our breed as first priority!

Hi Diana, pleased to hear Sam is still going strong!
I know he (Wickenberry Capsicum) is such a happy happy dog and I keep seeing his cheerful and friendly character in his grandson Glen:-)))

You're absolutely right, but this man is in the breeding committee of the club, so should know better.
And sometimes they push it too far....
