Today I can officially say everything is back to normal with my girls., or maybe better than normal!
Romã got all her weight back and looks like she is going to put so extra weight on, wich is great! She is back to eating dry food and barking. There were no damages at all to her tongue or mouth - truly a miracle. I have my happy girl looking better than ever, shinny coat, bright look in her eyes, lots of joy and a bit more confidence than before!
Pitanga has fully recovered from her surgery. Her belly is all healed up and looking nice, if it weren't for some shorter parts in her coat you would not believe she had surgery. Her ear is also amazing: we found out she could barely hear from that ear and it was really funny to see her adjust to her new hearing skills. I also win as I do not need to shout at her anymore (she wasn't stubborn, just couldn't hear me well!) We are back to our regular ear cleaning routine - three times a week at this time of year, to make sure there are no seeds inside the ear canal and there isn't the smallest sign of ear infection. She has also stopped rubbing her ear everywhere, so I'm sure she is much more comfortable like this.
They are both cleared for their normal lives of long walks, eating dry food, swimming, bird chasing and all those settery things we like so much. It's as if nothing ever happened and we are all glad things are this way.
Again, Thank you all very much for your support during those crazy times
