Finnish Lapland has recovered from Polar night, sun came up today...

...for the first time since November.

The weather was pretty freezing but still we had to take ourselves and our setters to see this wonderful sight. At the same time we gave our setters the wonderful opportunity to find grouses...

Even though the sun came up there was not enough light for the best pictures
Old mama is still going strong...

our grand-old- lady has recovered from sterilization and is still suffering loss of hair in her tummy but it did not disturb her

Some birdies were found by our newcomer, who has proved himself to be an excellent birdfinder and huntingdog

We don´t shoot birds now because the grouse is suffering from really bad lack of population. Foxes and last summers terrible loss of chicks has had a tremendous effect on the whole grousepopulation. We hope from our hearts that the summer to come is offering better nesting abilities...

The sun is up only for few hours and afternoon came early

Watch out the rest of the world, we are getting there... to springtime!!
