In aid of breed rescue.

Hi everyone, I want to tell you all about a sponsored walk I'm doing on September 25th in aid of the rescue schemes of ''my'' two breeds. Irish Setters and American Cocker Spaniels.

 

I'll be walking with a group of old school friends who have got back together after 38 years, we left school in 1973. A big re-union party was held back in July, but we've decided to meet regularly and make our renewed friendship meaningful. We are therefor fundraising for our own personal causes, and mine is rescue. I've been an Irish Setter owner and occasional exhibitor since the year I left school at 16. (1973) American Cockers came into my life much later, in 1998. So Rory (Cataluna Doc Holliday via Trunorth) and Kitty (Afterglow Whats New Pussycat) will be representing their respective breeds and walking a  5 mile section of Hadrian's Wall in Northumberland.

I did look at that David, but as far as I could see, the cause had to be a registered charity. Which Amercan Cocker rescue isn't and I don't know about Irish Setter rescue.

 

I'll have another look to check again to see if it's possible to do something for lesser known causes.
