Home for Irish Setter Lovers Around the World

Mum put us all into the car for another long trip - this time to the beautiful city of Salzburg in Austria.

I did not care about the city but loved the boars' and deers' smell next to our guesthouse and the nice fields.

Mum said these are important shows again, the World Dog Show and two Setter-Pointer-specialties held on 3 days. She also said I should behave. I did not really understand what she meant by this but I did my best in the heat and I think, mum was pleased as she cried again a bit and told me she loved me!

Friday, WDS:
Copper's Wine'N Roses - yes, that's my official name! - 4th in open class to mum's biggest surprise :) My "big sister" Copper's Music And Paws got excellent in champion class, a good thing as well with all those very goods and goods that were given. The judge was Rafael de Santiago, PR.

This is Danka, with her funny face, bitten lip and eyes popping out - she does this when she really wants a treat!

And this is me:

Saturday, the club show of the Österreichischer Setter Club, mum said it was orgaznized in a beautiful place, up in the fortress Hohensalzburg. Hm, I don't know, there were no big green fields there, so we must have a different idea of what is beautiful!

Anyway, Danka won champion class and I won open class, mum needed another handler for the final competition!

Danka:

and me:

The rings were on gravel ground, many dogs were unable to move on it, but as mum takes us everywhere, big sis and me couldn't be bothered less! And guess what, in the end mum and me were directed to the BOB sign! We received a beautiful ceramic thingy that mum is very proud of. The judge for the day was Mrs Jane Mugford who smiled all day.

There were still many laps to run for the Best In Show award, the sun just shone but I felt high because of all attention I received and ran myself to BIS under judge Leen van Genechten! 158 dogs were entered and I was the most beautiful, this is what mum told me afterwards.

And Sunday came, after a big sleep mum drove us to Anif castle park to the next show, organized by the Österreichischer Klub für Englische Vorstehhunde. I think, she is a bit crazy but at least there was grass of green and mountains high around this place.

The Irish judge Mrs Sue Brophy let us run a lot again - the rings were under a tent now, not too much use though as the heat got stuck under it. Big sis Danka won champion class again and me, I was first in open class.

and me:

In the end, I got the title BOB again, mum could not believe her ears. I think she is a cup-maniac. Late afternoon Mr Tom Brophy got to chose the best in show doggy and after running back and forth and around and then altogether again, mum was congratulated and she hugged me hard and said, I am the best. Wohohooo, I am the best again, now out of 115 dogs!!!

Then we drove home and I must say I was happy to run like crazy on the doggy island again and dive into the Danube and get all kinds of green sticky stuff into my coat! Show time good but free time best!

Tailwags to you all,
little Neita

Eva, I think you should maybe apologise to Laura too. You were the one who had to respond to my comment and indeed Eva you have infact taken my comment totally out of context. I was not criticing any judge just stating the fact I was fascinated that two totally different styles of setter can be deemed as best in show winners, no disrespect to anyone. Yet again Eva you have misread a comment and leapt in to defend a friend when there was no reason to, like you did on the last blog too. It is not everyone else Eva, being sour it is you being high and mighty trying to talk down to everyone. I meant no harm in that first comment at all, it is you that has twisted the whole comment. Do not worry I will be admitting it is me, I will be reporting you to Gene, I have watched too many times as you have been rude to others on this site and yet again instead of maybe leaving a comment on my page you have continued this on somebody elses blog. SHAME ON YOU.

Gratulálok itt is, és gyönyörűek a képek. Nekem is kellene valaki, aki követ és megörökíti a pillanataimat, és teszi mindezt hozzáértéssel!! :-)
