Home for Irish Setter Lovers Around the World
Since our local television visted us to film a portrait of the Irish Setter, Scott thinks he's a star and has all the caprice of a starlet; Last Sunday Scott wanted to see if the grass was truly greener on the other side of the fence, and I don't know how, as our fence is rather solid and high. But pass to the neighbours he did; Once I'd recuperated Scott I of course inspected him to see there was no damage, and I discovered a huge hole on his side where he'd ripped a large piece of skin leaving visible meat and muscle, it didn't seem to worry him at all, apparently no pain. Not so easy to find a vet on a Sunday but we were sent to the Vet 'on call' and he immediately took care of Scott. He was sedated and the sewing process could begin. Part of the skin, 5mm, had to be cut off and then some 5 stitches inside and 11 stitches on the outside to sew it all up. So we now have a new boy, less 5mm of skin;

Scott will now stay at home, the time it takes for the hair to grow back, and he takes great advantage of the sofa and in being spoilt by 'Granny Catherine';
I didn't see this back in January, but so pleased he is all recovered!! He reminds me of my boy, Clancy who is a real character!!
Scott, you lovely handsome boy, it is not the way to claim some holiday spoiled time!!! poor wee mite, I know you are tough but still :-( wish you a very swift recovery and want to see you running about very soon :-) plenty of cuddles from us
