Comment by Trudy Walsh on July 19, 2011 at 12:46pm: Hi James, as I said, I was not there, but have heard from people both within the breed and in other breeds, that they were not thrilled with the Judge. I really cannot comment further about her, but I have to say that some FCI Judges leave a lot to be desired. We had one who had brought his male companion along. The companion acted as his Steward, but they both stood together discussing the various points of the dogs, going back and forward to the dogs etc. I was not exhibiting, but told the Steward that he was not allowed to behave like that. He told me that the Judge did not know what to do and he had to explain the system to him!!!!

Later, I saw two Committee members speaking to them. The Judge told them that the Steward was a Student Judge and was permitted to asess the dogs with him. They were told that this was definitely not allowed and the problem was sorted. This is a crazy situation, as all Judges are spoken to before the Show and any doubts should be addressed before they go into the ring.
