Home for Irish Setter Lovers Around the World
On the 22nd of February, we walked all around the Lake of Hallwil in Switzerland, beginning at the moated castle of Hallwil. The temperatures were still below zero that particular morning:
It is one of the very few lakes here, where most of the path is right by the lakefront and only small bits are tarred:
The scenery was fantastic:
And the natural sculptures were worth many photo stops:
Joy was simply fascinated by the many ducks and swans - so this is how we got a beautiful free stack:
Mute or White Swans (Cygnus olor):
"Come play with me!"
Here we are at the lower end of the lake looking back in direction of Hallwil - a cold but beautiful place for a short rest:
In the small swamp near the castle:
5,5 hours later - or after the lenght of a half marathon - we were back at the castle - and Joy was still on the lookout for ducks:
Even near the moat of the castle, smiling for the camera was not possible for our dirty little bunny and she would only allow tiredness to creep in on the way back home inside the car:
"Thanks fo a lovely day."
