Moles and dogs

What is your experience  as far as moles and dogs are concerned? Are the moles a problem in gardens and are your dogs driven mad, knowing little creatures live under their lawn? Do your dogs dig for moles?

I had no knowledge of moles until my first trip to Crufts, when I saw little mounds of earth in fields as we travelled to Birmingham!! And at our hotel near the NEC there were little mounds of earth in the exercise area !! Thats when I was told about moles!!

The soil under your lawn, Malkie, is probably richer in food for the moles or just easier to dig through??;o)) I'd say that wee mole got a shock when he discovered he was on the wrong side;o)

Hi i'm also in Birmingham i dont have moles in the garden but when i walk Finlay round the reservoir there are quite a few mole hills we havent seen the moles and Finlay doesn't seem bothered by them he's too busy trying to catch the birds.(",)

 Birds and squirrles are Finlays favorite. Yes Carmel i am very handy for Crufts and would you belive this year will be my first visit, i'm so looking forward to it cant wait to see so many setters all together (",)

A few years ago we had moles in the front lawn.... A real catastrophy as they dig also under the plants and leave the poor plants roots hanging in holes! Anna used to stare for hours at the holes and wait and wait until the mole would come out and then kill it! No mercy! :-)

Poor moles;o) Abbey hunts and kills tiny pygmy Shrews here!! We dont have moles in Ireland!!!

We had wrens in the garden,they have been nesting here for years,even though we have three cats.Last year Ellie found the nest and killed the young.I was horrified ,she is such a gentle loving dog but I guess nature will out.
