Exclusively Setters

Home for Irish Setter Lovers Around the World

There seem to be a lot of calls for charitable donations and rescue services out there at the moment so I thought I mention Ringo, a Red Setter from Irland, who was brought into Laois pound with horrific face and neck injuries earlier this year. There was a call for donations on Facebook to cover for his treatment to which I contributed (for what it was worth) but I'm delighted to report that he is recovering well and the ISBC Rescue together with Laois Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals are now looking for new and kind owners for this boy

Just in case you can think of someone who can give this little fella their individed attention.

There are other Reds looking for a new home as well of course....

Thanks John for the update link what a relief this little guy is happy now
I looked at the rescue photos and will never understand why an animal can be left in such a state by a so called human being :(( We wish Ringo nothing but the love he so truly deserves in his forever home. Take care Ringo x

this is great, thanks John for posting :))

Hello John, I'm not on Facebook and wondered if there's another way of seeing Ringo's new home. Wonderful news :0))

Well done everyone, I love happy ending. Good luck Ringo, looks like your life is just begining <:0)

Dianne - just for you

Our beautiful boy Ringo who was cruelly left after being shot in the face has finally found his happy ending. On Friday evening he went to meet Rosie, his potential new sister to see how they'd feel about living together. Rosie and Ringo hit it off immediately and were more than happy to play together, share their food bowls, and as you can see - have a good snooze together after their two-hour walk on the beach! Ringo will also be living with Florrie, a 14 year old Red Setter and a new wonderful family who fell madly in love with him at first sight, as he did with them.  Although tears were shed saying goodbye to this incredible boy, his spirit, his character and the lessons he taught us about forgiveness will forever stay with us. He is truly a remarkable dog
