I am lucky that whilst my Strider is the dad, our friends own the bitch! So I get to visit them and cuddle them but don't have the huge task of cleaning up after them. My friends did Evelyn proud and she even put on a bit of weight during the first few weeks. Puppies are now being weaned and Evelyn is pleased. By contrast our Daisy had 13 puppies in 2002 and she was not impressed when I started to wean them. Then when they started going off to their new homes she was even less impressed. It helped that we kept three boys.
