I work as a primary teacher here in Dublin. I am married and have three children.
My dream of owning an Irish Setter began when I was about seven and my Dad gave me a book called Big Red. However I was to wait some years to live that dream!!
I met Mae Trenwith in about 1986 and she helped make my dream a reality.
With Mae's help I got my first setter Holly, Silver Belle of Sreathmead, in 1988. From Holly I subsequently had Joss (Glendruid Carroll), Jessie (Glendruid Heather) and Ben (Glendruid Rowan). I currently own one male Irish Setter Travis, Strathmead Hawkes Bay at Glendruid. He is out of Country Belle of Wendover JW and GB Sh Ch Shenenagin Some Might Say It's Bardonhill.
Thank you for your enthusiasm, Kay!
I see you started in setters with the help of Mae Trenwith. I greatly admired their Int. Ch. Timdon Xclusive Edition who also qualified in the field. Pity so few do so now...
all the best
