How many Irish Setters do you have?: At present 2011 I have two

How long have you owned Irish Setters?: Since 1976.

About Me:: I got my first dog at age 12, a little cross bred spaniel. A few years later I had Cocker Spaniels. In 1976 I obtained my first Irish Setter and have been involved in owning, breeding and showing Irish Setters ever since, 33 years. Unfortunately, I lost my wonderful Brody (Pheasant of Clonageera at Cloonminda) before Christmas 2008, aged thirteen and a half. I now have Darby (Clannrua Donard at Cloonminda) now just over four years old and the new addition, Bailey (Clannrua Donard at Cloonminda born Jan. 2010). I have never had more than three Setters at any one time as I worked full-time and believed if I kept larger numbers I would not be able to give them the time and attention they deserve.

Bailey won his 4th Reserve Green Star at Swords Ch. Sh. today from Junior Dog class under Mr. V. Kardos.

Bailey won 1st in Junior Dog at the last six shows and is now Junior Champion (subject to IKC confirmation) which is lovely as he also has his Celtic Junior winner title. Thanks to all the Judges.

Nov. 13th Cloghran All Breed Ch. Sh.

The show was in sunshine which was nice after all the rain as the breed was judged outdoors. We had another successful day with Bailey (Clannrua Beckett at Cloonminda) 1st in Puppy dog and picked out in the four in Puppy Dog Stakes. Congrats to the breed and stakes winners.

Thank you everyone for all your good wishes. I am very proud of Bailey, he bahaves so well in the ring for just 9 months - fingers crossed that it continues.
