Planning my next trip to a club show next year - thinking of driving but then I'd need somebody with me to assist with the overtaking etc;-)) have looked at Eurostar - prices not too bad (if you book well in advance) and also flights.

- Hi Lynne, I'm new to this site. Me hubby and reds were living in Bournemouth Dorset and then we decided to move to Spain in 2006. Our boy and girl settled in brilliantly and did excellent on the crossing from Poole to St Malo. You probably know a few of the same people I knew as I used to be in the show ring more so in the late 70's and early 80's and then again in 2000 I miss it, in alot of ways, Dog shows are not as plentyfull here in Almeria Spain Can I add you as a friend as it is good to keep in touch with Red owners in uk. She is recovering very well ! For the collars , they are in cotton .
We buy them in a shop who is specialized for the wool, tissues, buttons... We begin by the red for the first puppy and then the other colours of the rainbow..and then we mix two colours !
Have to change them every day ! Never had problem with them !

- About Me:
- I grew up with dogs as my grandfather was a gamekeeper on a large estate in Scotland, my home country, he bred labradors and as a family we also owned several German Shepherds. I have been in love with Irish Setters since I was at University but didn't own one until 1983 since when I have been owned by many setters. We have just added a new addition to the family but she is our 'little secret' at the moment.

Poorly boy...
My young dog, who is only 2 years of age, has just started to have great difficulty 'wee-ing' over the weekend & has had to be catheterised 3 times now to empty his bladder. His urine isn't too acidic or alkaline, tests negative for blood, or crystals or bacteria, a little protein in there but not so much that it worries the vet. He is desperate to go to the loo but just manages a dribble or two.....in an older dog the vet says she would immediately suspect prostrate trouble but apparently t… Continue
