Hi we have had Irish for most of our lives I personally have 2 English Setters but my brothers both have Irish. My younger brother's 2 Irish and his elderly Gordon come to day care with me while he is at work durning the week. I do the showing part as well. My eldest brother has an Irish and an Irish Red and White. So between us we have the whole range of Setters. I do not breed but Connor has been used at stud.
Glad to see you joined us on Exclusively Setters - look forward to seeing you post photos. I'm sure your pic of the Setters at sundown in front of Table Mountain would be enjoyed by viewers. Very hot today in the Overberg - Irish all inside snoozing under the fans while Mum works!
Yes, I thought it was Clancy, he looked so familier to me. Yes I am still breeding I.R.W.S, and now for my 'sins' I have six of them! If you would like to chat more my email address is spyefire@sky.com I will be happy to keep a contact with you and yours. Suzanne.
Just to let you know that Cape Gundog Club approved our proposals for CLAD,PRA rcd1 and LOPRA rcd 4 so will be discussed at WP Provincial Council Meeting this month.
Also newsworthy, the article written before Christmas directed towards prospective Irish Setter owners has been posted - log onto www thefriendsofthedog.co.za
How is Rilley doing with the leash training?
We wish all the Wonfor Setters a fantastic 2012 in the Showring!
Estelle just posted some photos of the Benevolent Open Show on Sunday where Henriette and her husband joined them for the day - Apollo's and Sari's children growing up fast!
Just thought I would let you know that "the girls" Estelle and Henriette have had their girls Karla and Jamie X-rayed for HD and eagerly await scores. I'm bogged down because my Vet is at a conference iin Johannesburg, but as soon as he returns I'll make arrangements for Bliss to be X-rayed. When are you planing to X-ray Dris?
Thank heavens the weather has cooled down, they say rain tomorrow!
