How many Irish Setters do you have?
3 Irish and 2 Irish Red & Whites
How long have you owned Irish Setters?
15 years
About Me:
I compete heavily in several different dog sports across Canada and the USA. Some of the sports I compete in or have competed in are agility, field trials, field dog tests, conformation, flyball, obedience, carting and even lure coursing. My primary activities are agility, field and show. I've bred two litters of Irish Setter puppies and am planning a third in 2010. I have also bred one litter of Irish Red & White Setters and plan to breed a second litter due in March, 2010. There are several finished Canadian show champions and one American show champion from the three litters I have bred. There are also several puppies that are pointed towards their Championships. There are also several pups with agility titles and others that are pointed in the Field and have qualifying scores towards titles in field tests, agility and obedience. They are proving that they are just as versatile as their parents!

I think your Allie and my Airess have some shared genes. She is from Palarset and is from Ricky and Spring. I often hear about your girl when trialing!

Funny you should mention about the Edmonton Irish...because my good friend Kiersten was judging and called to tell me about the Irish Setter she saw. That is really cool!!! Airess is doing great! I wish there was somewhere I could do field work with her but there is nothing around here and although we've had friends sneak us into the retriever grounds to do some stuff they don't know what field work Setters are really supposed to do and I know nothing! In agility Aire is starting to come into her own. We haven't trained as much as we should have but that is do to my having cancer and really having to take the majority of last year off. She has got her starters jumpers and one advanced leg in jumpers and one snooker. I enjoy her and she is entirely different than Zena. It is very seldom that I ever see Irish at trials and I was hoping that the Specialty this year might have agility and I'd be there. We are also working in Rally. I read about your dogs in PawPrints and enjoy all that you are doing.
