Backstages fun: backing the point

OK Its your point. But a bit of mine as well, while sniffing that adventurous scent of a hidden quail. So here we are backing

a point of our littersister. At least learning how to do it. Fun for Faerie Tail, Fay & Guinness O'Conloch.

Another successful huntingtrip is behind

The snow that appeared last week is now history for the moment. The groud is black, as we say, and poor grouses have no shelter of its colour as you can see from some photos...

The amount of daylight is poor from now on as you can also see.

Here is Woitto on point

and here is "the man of the house"shooting

We had a long weekend in Hungary, due to national holidays. Saturday-Sunday it was show time, at Budapest double international shows :) Day 1 my Danka was second in champion class, day 2 she won her class and went on to be Best Bitch with CACIB.

Monday morning we traveled to the field trials held by the pointer club. We are not good enough YET for the field trial :-) but managed to take their special "breeding…

Nice results from the Seinäjoki International (Finland)

Our "team" got nice results in Seinäjoki International today. From the entry of over 3500 dogs Jedi's son Derwish Gandalf aka Roope was chosen for reserve Best in Show. This was his second best in group placement in a row.

Breed was judged by Mr Fredrik Norgren, Sweden. He gave only a few excellents in IRS, mostly due to the size (too big) and lack of coat. My beautiful Pilvi, Garden Star's Just Love was best bitch with CACIB and CAC. Only one other bitch got excellent and she was… Continue

A Sunday huntingtrip was a success

I was having my camera(again) and rifle with me when I went for just a little trip in the mountains today. And because the polar night-time is coming soon the light is not ideal for photo shooting. But other kind of shooting did happen ;))

If you can look the right spot, you might see the grouse as a bright… Continue

Jente puppies

Jente is fully recovered, happy as always. She is so good mum, puppies are 3 weeks old, but still Jente leave them only when it is time to go out. All 11 puppies are in good health, just little behind in size. But I love them even more, they are so small, so cute, so special. Boys names are Double-0-Seven, Diplomat, Dodger, Diesel, Donovan, Diablo and girls Double Diamond, Dolche Vita, Debutante, De luxe and Deja Vu. All puppies have loving homes waiting for them.…

The northern Finland is now covered in snow. Which is ideal for the grouses in white wintercoats. Me and my husband went for a little huntingtrip with the youngest setters from our gang.
