Finding first feathers

Finding first feathers in a young setters life is a life experience. Guinness O'Conloch owned by Brigitte, keeps her red setter in place, helped by trainer Gerard Mirck.

A small group of working enthusiasts started a scheme of training in the Netherlands, nearly all newcomers. A majority is female and young.

Andy, the Irish Setter won the "Hortobágy Cup" field and water hunt test last weekend with first prize, CACT, CACIT - the biggest hunt test event in Hungary.

With many good Hungarian vizslas entered (and one pointer and one weimaraner), this is a very big achievement. His owner Petra is also a member of this site but might be too shy to brag :-)…

Introducing the new generation of Dawnmaen puppies

Sorry I am being a proud mum here and would just like to introduce my new litter of pups born on Tuesday 9th October. Mum (Karidell Belle Rouge at Dawnmaen) produced 12 bouncing Bambinos, 7 dogs and 5 bitches and all are doing well.

As you can see Belle is showing that it was a bit of a tiring experience but proud Dad (Dawnmaen Tamdhu) hasn't a hair out of place!

We will keep…

sucking on ear

Elliot always uses Justin's ear to suck on it.
He lays next to him take his ear in his mouth and sucks on it like a baby.
Justin does not mind but his ear is always wet and from slime off Elliot.
Does anyone knows the reason for it and how can I stop it?

My little angels

Jente gave birth to 11 beautiful puppies last Saturday, on the 29th of September. These last days were most difficult days in my life, but my little angels fighted for their life. Now Jente is feeling better and I have hope. I have cried for hours, not slept for days, and I was even afraid to hope. I love Jente so much, she is my hero and each of these puppies are little angels. How can I give them away one day? Anyway, please keep your fingers crossed, all puppies are now back in their birth… Continue

By popular request (as they say) some illustrations...(with added BC for Susan and Carmel)

The Border Collie is from an article I wrote about breeds I still want to have...amongst them a BC. The text this border is thinking is; Wow..great..the metal dumb-bell! Ohhh the send-away...my favorite! Work...work...work!

All illustrations are scanned from the Kennel-club-mag or out of books...so awful quality of print. Sorry.
