The mother Caemgen's Dark'n Dashing "Ashley" has given birth to 12 wonderful puppies, 3 boys and 9(!!) Girls!

I have lost my best girl friend. I had hoped she would make her 15th birthday but sadly not to be. Daisy was the best friend I could ever have had and I miss her dreadfully, as does the rest of the family. Such a special girl.

At this time of the year in Australia, photos have to be taken at first light, before the heat and before the light becomes too harsh. So grateful thanks to our trusty and very talented photographer, Willem Heyneker, who very kindly, happily arrives anything like 4.30 in the morning!! Let the show begin!…

I have called Ballad's baby girl, JURNI, because it has been a long one to get her!!

At four weeks already, she is now starting to meet the older Irish, and they are all very gentle and caring towards her. Aniara, in particular, is smitten with Jurni - maybe because she well remembers that over ten years ago, she too was an only puppy for Bria.  We have a very happy family of Irish here at Amhurst. They all love each other and it is good for the soul to enjoy them all.…

After many futile efforts, my final chance with Minstrel's frozen semen worked, and we have one beautiful baby girl, born by caesarian, a week ago today.Minstrel died many years ago, so this is one very special baby indeed.

Well, after a number of goes with Minstrel's frozen semen, and with one last chance, it has worked and Ballad is in whelp. Yipppeeee. Due very soon, her ultra sounds have only shown one puppy, but a baby who is gold to me. This coming week we will have an x-ray done, just to confirm what we are expecting.
