Jasmine aka Irish Show Champion Caspions Modesty JW is now 10 years old.
It very nearly didn't happen. She has had two different types of cancer and her liver and kidneys have been compromised with a cause of Steroids. But thanks to her vets Angela and Megan, she is still very much with us, and enjoying life again...I just love her to bits, she has…

Hi everyone. This is Vikra. She is a four year old English Setter who was left into Longford Dog Pound through no fault of her own, (in my opinion). She has a lovely temperament and is used to children. Unfortunately she is deaf.
She has been removed from the Pound as they do could not see any chance of rehoming her and she would have been put to sleep.
The reason she was left in the pound by her family, was that she was fast asleep in her basket, when a child ran in and jumped…

We went to the vet to pick up Romã, who was very quick to get in the car =)
Now that I have both girls at home, it's going to be much easier to manage all recoveries!
Mother and daugther were so happy to see each other again that it was a shame I did not have my camera to record the moment, it was worth to watch. They are now resting in one of my horse boxes as they are quieter and fresher. I let them out for a short run every now and again as they still need to be as…

Hi again,
Pitanga is doing amazingly well. She has adjusted to her new hearing skills and her ear is not itchy any more. For the first time in many months she is not trying to rub her ear in everything all the time, despite the stitches she still has. Her belly is doing fine as well, nice and clean scar. She is bored out of her mind as she still has to be in low exercise mode. 30 minutes of total and restricted exercise everyday is definitely not enough to a setter!!! "just"…

Beloved Connor
I know he's not a Setter but this gentle soul was a major part of my life for over 14 years and today is his first anniversary away from home & I still miss the old man terribly. I ended up with this guy purely by accident, while taking my little sister's Guinea Pig Spike to the vets for a nail trim, I ended up with a puppy ! Con & his six sisters were left unwanted at five weeks of age at the vets all he knew was that their mother was a Border…

First of all, thank you all for your support and wonderful words of encouragment.
Pitanga is doing just fine, she is back being a Setter at times. She tried to chase some birds this morning and is eating and drinking well, so as long as I keep her calm and not running around like a mad dog, she should be fine in a week. Her hearing has already improved and she is a bit scared of the loud sounds as I think they are now a lot louder, but she is adjusting very well - no more…
