Whoopie a puppy to start 2010...

Last but not least news from here, my eleven years old but looking young Echlin O’Conloch sired last week a litter at Pallas Green kennels (Gerard Mirck), dam Pallas Green Gina.

Three dogs, two bitches all sold. One bitch puppy mine – PG Kells, named after the callname of Derrycarne Harp, the first postwar import from Ireland to the Netherlands.

Means a fresh start of 2010, she will accompany me and the other red setters to sniff up scents in training grounds maybe Andalusia.

Sorry, haven't seen my Kells yet alive but only on a picture. Difficult to imagine her racing over Andalusian grounds where red legged partridge is in abundance.... Makes me think of Herman Hermits "No milk today, my mother has gone away" .

Thanks hopefully when grown up it will not be alcohol. Quite a few of their forebearers drank more alcohol than me. Great stories by the way their pedigree, Aillean (Poppet) was gone for three weeks surviving in the wild. She was the real fox farmers complained about..... Devils dearest.

Out comes the first and yes that same devillish twinkle in her eyes like the one in Ailean fourty years ago showed. Amongst littermates in snow later always the one just ahead of all the rest, looking for adventure. Start me up & never stop.

A first real offday in 2010 was spend on chosing Kells. Makes a better start of a new year! A new post on her arrival planned end of last week.
