Many years ago, Margaret Barnes of the World Famous Suntop kennels, very kindly entrusted me with some of her original photographs. Here are just three of those. The top group one depicts, left to right, Suntop Spotlight of Tonbul, Ch. Suntop Suzette,Suntop Ladybird, Suntop Quickstep, Suntop Quicksilver and Ch. Suntop Carnival Queen, taken in 1956.The next photo is of Suntop Spotlight of Tonbul, dam of Suntop Quickstep and the third is of Suntop Footstep aged ten years. She was born in 1962 and was the dam of Suntop Waywardbird.

I stewarded English Setters at a lot of ch shows during 1974 and i discovered that most of the top winners then which i liked were all sired by Suntop Winterbird.He was never in the catalogue as a show champion but he was certainly a successful sire! Ithink the suntops are behind the Valsetts and i think some Bournehouses.?
