You don't make it very clear if Pitanga is shut in with her puppies or can get away from them. My bitches always have free access to their puppies even from day 1. They are never shut in with them at all. They are able to jump in and out of the wh...
They are getting to be a really big box full now. Soon Saffy's work will be done and you can be a full time mummy. One word of advice, don't go into them with an elasticated waist skirt on, it will end up around your knees! Hope you are enjoying t...
Maybe if anyone knows whose Setters have been in programs or adverts over the years might be nice to know whose they were and the breeding or name. I know there was one in Emmerdale for a while.
I live in the County of Cornwall, United Kingdom with my husband Ian and family of Irish Setters. They are firstly our pets and all live in and have access to the whole of the house. Our family had our first Irish Setter in 1976 and since then I have had great fun and enjoyed some success with the dogs I have shown and of course meeting lots of new friends over the years. The picture shows the foundation bitch of the Polmennor's, Lynwood Castaspell Over Polmennor, she was my very special 'Magic'
I think that you are rite, it is all a matter of ''worry'' I had my first litter back in the early 70's and then a couple in the early to mid 80's and then nothing since then, so it is like the first all over again, but with extras. perhaps it is when you get older you seem to worry more about your wee ''charges'' and I haven't had stairs for many years, (I would love a quid for every time I have been up and down them,) I have only lost 1/2 stone so far, but that has been quite a revelation, haven't been this weight since, (well it doesn't bare thinking about)
I hope all went well with your litter as far as CLAD is concerned, Saffy is the first one to be tested before mating for the new eye thing, she isn't affected by it, but until we get a DNA test for it then she could still be carrying the gene for it, its a big gamble, ah well its all a gamble, but an educated one is always better, than nothing. All the best Dee and the gang
Hi there Angela
I am finding difficulty in keeping anything up at the moment, I have lost about half a stone over the past couple of weeks. I suppose that I am lucky I don't use skirts. much to my granddaughters disgust, she thinks that I should where more ladylike clothes, and the critique came from a three and a half year old. perhaps she is rite, I am not very ladylike...Ah well to old to change now...Dee and the gang
Hello Angela! And thank you for your comment on Ivy and her foal. But that is the one and only show the foal will go to...and the only one allowed. You get one shot at it, and that is it!
So if you did not like the result...hard luck!
But they do have two judges working together so I suppose its slightly more fair than a dogshow.
Yes I think that you may be rite, funny thing is she didn't want to know about ''that kind of thing'' just goes to show how easy a girl can get into trouble..;o))
Thanks for your comment - it was hard work to cram in the training and showing. We ended up doing the course in 5 weeks - so I really chuffed to pieces that we have been really successful. Both boys have their Gold Cups in the best position on the sideboard.
Catch you again soon

Hey Angela
Thanks for the comment, well with still two weeks to go I could feel them all wriggling about in there, she has been sick this morning I think she need 5 meals now, and there is only 10 days to go, believe me she is bigger now that when the photos were taken, must be nearly a week ago now. And yes the box is big, when I got it I thought that it was huge but not any more..all a bit scary. Ah well will find out soon. Most of my previous pups have been 1lb-1lb 3oz whatever that is in grams I don't know.. thanks again Dee and the girls
Sorry to hear about the phantom, I totally understand about being the bridesmaid but never the bride.........
I have no idea about how I keep it alive, I have not got green fingers, but every year it just keeps coming back and blooming with the lovely blue flowers........I thought the dogs would have killed it by now......the pup has been eating away at the bottom branches but it seems to survive..........the only thing in my garden that has..............
