Hi Cheryl,

Good to meet you! I just tried to add you as a friend. Maybe it works this way? How did you hear about Brazenwinds?

A warm hello from WA

Hi Cheryl,

Guess to find YOUR breeder is a word of mouth thing. We found out when we met people with their Irish setters on the dog beach.

OK, I'll try again to add you as a friend. Wait and see what happens!

11 is a great age, they begin to look like oldies but still have power.
here it is about 5 degrees during the day, nights are colder. snow comes next week i heard, looking forward to it = clean dogs, hehe. summers are really hot here (up to 40 easily) and winters quite cold with snow. not as much as sweden though :)
take care and hugs to you all

Cheryl, Thank you so much for your kind comment about Ivy!
Ivy left a big gap in our lives...a great horse in every way. Seems almost worse loosing a horse, perhaps becourse they seem so strong and powerful...

Hi Cheryl, are your Boers traditional or red? I'm expecting a red Boer baby shortly - when Coco is ready, that is!!

My buck Benson (after the TV show!) is so dark he looks black but he is a maroon colour. My girls range from Marmite colour through to milk chocolate colour. I've just bought 2 red doe kids - they arrive at the end of January once they're weaned. By that time Coco should have kidded (or burst LOL!)

A red kid from traditional parents means that both parents carry the "red" gene. Breeding a red to a red means (I jolly well hope!) that the kids will be red. Mine are all descended from embryos originally imported from South Africa by Landcorp NZ & implanted into surrogate mums. Ain't technology grand LOL ...

Hi Cheryl - Thanks for your message. I wanted to respond to your questions on the dog database or information repository. You have a great idea and it would be very valuable for ES members. Unfortunately, such capabilities are beyond what Ning currently offers. The best way is to find someone who does web development for a living and has a passion for dogs, enough to do some pro bono work. Sorry that we couldn't do this for the Community. Maybe in the future Ning will offer this capability.
