how is Mac doing? His brother Beau has the biggest character I have known and is just so clever.....he learns so quickly but all to his agenda!! My son has just come home for the holidays from university and so Beau has a new friend!!

Gosh - you couldn't have summed it up better! In 25 years of owning setters we have never had one so clever! But he has been so good since both sons have been home - yes such a charmer!

Happy New Year to you as well. Powell is suburb of Knoxville, TN. We are about 3 hours from Nashville. My rescue, Red, is a great house dog! He is just not so good on the leash and outside. We have property, but he is not trustworthy to run. We are taking him to obedience classes. He will sit, down and come in the house, but forget it outside.
thank you very much for the b-day wishes! we had a lovely walk with the red girls (and the patchy one), then food, drinks, cake and i think i am going to have some ice cream now :)

Hope you are having a great start to the new year! I agree with you, these very special redheads are sometimes the only ones who get us through the rough times! I often say that my redheads are the only thing that keeps me sane..... and they don't realise the pressure they are under!!! cheers
