Absolutely dedicated to the breed, along with English Setters.
Born in England, I moved to Australia as a child, and in my teens started importing Irish Setters from Wendover Kennels, and English Setters from Suntop Kennels. My latest Irish imports in 2004, 2009 and another in 2013 are all from the beautiful Copper's Kennel in Sweden.
I am a qualified Championship Judge for All Gundogs and the Non Sporting Group, and an Open Show Judge for all Toys, Terriers and Hounds.
My judging takes me all over the world, something I enjoy immensely.
Thank you, Myra! I was actually glad, the bees were too high up for Joy to reach!! She's a bit more careful now with buzzing things :-)). Have a nice day, Cornelia
Thanks for your lovely comments on my recent blogs. We have been having a great time lately. No shows for about 5 weeks now, so hope Clancy at least takes the next challenge in August!!! Bridget is now on 49 points, so nearly half way,
Myra, Thankyou so much for the photos they are wonderful. Can't believe Finnigan was so small. :) Have you sent any of the photos to Tamalee. She might be able to do a video. xxGail
What a contrast in the weather! I got to see a lot of it first-hand today, because Niamh decided it would be a blast to get out into the rain and play, play, play. You know what - I think she was right. Cold, but right.
Vera and Mabel are going well. I've lost track of how old they actually are now, but they have almost a full compliment of adult feathering, and are starting to grow their combs. I hope they will start laying soon. The other two chickens, Henny and Lucy, don't like them at all, so we're going to rebuild a new coop in the hopes that with the new territory will come some mutual - if not respect, then at least tolerance LOL I always thought chickens were docile, rather languid creatures...no. Not at all! They're truly descended from dinosaurs...
Hi Myra, thanks for your lovely comments on Clancy's blog. We are very proud of him. Don't think there are many Irish doing tracking. We can't do any gun work as it is just too far away from us. He is so lovely to watch. I should try to get a video one time he is working.
Hope all is going well over your way for you and John and your lovely redheads.
Thanks, Myra :) The birthday girl was very spoilt and had a lovely day (or days, since her birthday was spread out across the weekend). See - all the good ones are born in July!
Thanks very much for your well wishes for Legolas, he's alot more awake & active today and he looks to be fairly comfortable except for his bandaged up foot, he's still trying to work out his balance...not very graceful :) but it'll only be coming off on Monday, at the moment his razor burn is annoying him a lot :) I'm using up tonnes of mosturiser, he'll have better skin than me soon :)
Good evening Myra, my name is Graham and am interested in an Irish Setter pup, my tendency is for U/K and Europian breeding. Do you have a litter planed or do you know a breeder who we can be in touch with who will be willing to sell us a pup. I will give you my email address, if you would be so kind as to reply on that. I find it hard to express myself on an open network.
Hi Myra thanks for the comment its bedlam inside when the dogs see the roo it takes a bit to shut them up Susan keeps the dogs inside each day about the time she comes through so she'll hang around
Thank you for your warm welcome Myra. Your dogs are beautiful.
I once had an Irish Setter, I rescued him from an owner that didn't understand that he shouldn't be tied up with a short chain to a kennel all day. I soon found a good home for him in the country.

Hope you are well and your plans are working out.
