Thank you very much for all your kind words. Anna leaves a big gap in our hearts and our house. She was so much part of our lives. She had never been ill. It was so unexpected and sudden. I don't know that it could be a tick-born disease, the vet mentioned auto-immune disease.....I will try to talk to her again next week to try to find out more about it.

With so much sadness

To you all,

It is with great sadness that I wanted to let you know that my bitch Brackenfield Forsythia (Anna) died earlier this week of suspected meningitis. She was rather unwell on Sunday afternoon and collapsed in a coma on arrival at the vet. Although my vet said it is rather rare I know of at least 2 if not 3 cases in Irish setters in the last year.
