Lego had a little party yesterday for his 5th birthday :) Lots of cookies throughout the day, park, and a little party with his friend Mo who is visiting over the weekend.

July 3rd Lego had his 4th birthday



and I did not post anything because we were super busy ;-)



He had a ice cream for breakfast, cookies, went to the doggie park, came back had a nice steak dinner ( he got the whole one, Bryan and I split the second one ;o)))) and then there was, of course, the cake.

On this day, 19 years ago my first Irish Setter was born :) Lun was born in Ljubljana on April 18th came into my life because my dad was not paying attention and my cousin knew I have always wanted a dog *VBG*. So he asked my dad to get me this puppy from their neighbor's dog who just had a litter. So, my dad wanted to get rid of him and said "OK". That is the pure accident how I ended up with an Irish Setter and not a Bull Terrier .

The email list I am on has this neat thing every year where people sign up to send and receive the holiday cards from the other setter people. I was wondering if anyone would be interested to do this on this network as it seems that we are a little bit more "international" and it would be fun to get (finally) that Holiday card in Hungarian LOL

Yesterday was the fifth time we entered the JH test and Lego got his 4th pass! the day was perfect - sunny, chilly, and slight wind - just enough for the scent to get off the ground. The hunt test grounds at Eagle, Wisconsin were great - although a lot of ticks for this time of year.

Lego and the bracemate both found the same bird although the Vizsla locked on point before Lego so he got that bird.

Just got my email "YourAKC" ( a bi-monthly ? ) email from AKC and on this month's cover of the AKC Gazette is the Irish Setter :) Anyone know which dog it is?

Also the feature story is about 2 grayhounds who made a switch from the ring onto a silver screen. Quite interesting - I think I will stop by the Border's and get me a copy :) …
