AN ENGLISH SETTER PAGE FROM THE AMHURST ARCHIVES

Happily, we have had our lives turned upside down, with a ball of orange belton joy, who we have named "Hattie," short for "Hattitude!" Special thanks to Jo and Matt in New Zealand, and a page will be dedicated to Hattie, just as soon as the photographs permit.

For Now, though, some photos of our past English Setters, including our gorgeous tri colour, Suntop Shining Berry Imp UK) and the beautiful International Sh Ch Suntop Winterbreeze, a dog behind some of ours after we used him at stud, as well as through his half brother, who was here at Amhurst, Suntop Summerthrush (Imp UK)

Ch Amhurst Soames is in the top photo, followed by Shining Berry, and Twomey is playing with baby Shining Berry, who is also looking gorgeous staring in to the camera in the sitting pose. Wonderful dogs, and so many happy memories.

Lovely dogs, we just don't see that type much anymore. Who is the orange bitch in the 2nd to last photo?

Being an Irish Setter fiend :) I don't strave for an English Setter, but just love those old photos above! I remember the legendary Suntop Shining Ben (obviously litter brother to your Berry) living in Hungary, who was a big innovation in the breed this part of Europe those days. Great dogs from the past will never be forgotten, and so nice to see your lives has turned upside down again ... a new story begins, and will be great to remember one day!

Just seen your archive and the dogs are gorgeous. Looking forward to seeing Hattie's pics here soon. I agree with Debbie Lowndes if Derry would just settle down a bit we could be tempted.

Myra - beautiful photos and wonderful news about your new ES Hattie :) i can't wait to meet her.
I love that tricolour photo Amhurst Soames - was he named after a certain BIS Crufts winner?
My all time favourite ES (at least from what i can see from photos) is Suntop Winterbreeze - I so wish I could have seen him in the flesh!
Keep the photos coming - i'll be watching this thread with interest - it's about time we saw some more spotty ones ;) ;)

Love the photos and we are so happy that you are enjoying Hattie. Her brother, Windsor, is most certainly keeping us on our toes here. They truly are a wonderful breed and we are now hooked
