we have had only two very brief sightings of joey and today he was about 50m from us and all I had was my phone to take the photo so it's a very grainy photo he is now about 7 months old and about 2 feet tall and very fast

Still - I can imagine how you feel - these moments in life are very special!! I hope you see both of them again and maybe a bit closer :-))

Lovely.  On Monday morning just before 9am taking my young daughter to school, there were 2 young wallaby's on the road and a number of them in the paddock next to the road.  I have lived in the area for almost 5 years and never seen a kangaroo or wallaby even though there are signs by the road warning to look out for them.  Just beautiful when you see them in the wild.

They are lovely to have so close by.  We see them ocasionally jumping through our paddock down to the creek for a drink.
