Aust CH Copper's Prins Trollmane's daughters win the bitch challenges at Hibiscus Coast KA

The alarm clock went off at 5.00 am on sat 31st Jan 09. The temperature was already hot outside so I thought " Dog show no way". My youngest son bounded into the bedroom " come on mum get up or we'll be late for the show". I am so thankful he did. The judge was Kate Keely from New South Wales and we certainly had a day to remember. My two Nome daughters won both the bitch challenge and the reserve, Tara (Solasdas Copper Ruse) just pipping Kerry (NZ CH Amhurst Borrowed Heaven). Tara then showed like a dream and was awarded best of breed.
To top off a super day my very spoilt couch potato who is only shown occasionally, as he feels he is far too special to exert himself showing, must have thought I am not letting these two madams steal the day. Danny (Silmanhurst Adolphus) moved like a dream and was awarded with the reserve dog CC and made his mum's day by winning open of breed.
Thanks once again James for organizing mum.

What a super day for you. Your dogs look great and lucky for you that they show in such hot conditions.
I met Marie and Grant of the Solasdas Irish Setters when I judged in Melbourne Australia in November 2007. They were so kind and helpful to me while we were there we really enjoyed their company. I saw all her dogs at home as she did not show under me as at the time of accepting the appointment as they were on the committee. They all live in together and have such wonderful temperments. Very showy dogs.
