Home for Irish Setter Lovers Around the World

On Saturday Dec. 6th we had the first 'Coppersheen International Field Day' in the Alsace, France. Six Irish of my breeding plus Duncan as a 'special guest' enjoyed learning a bit about setter work in the field. Four of the 'Ds' aged 7 months had their very first bird experience and they took to it like a duck to water... or a setter to the field;-))
We were a very international group with nationalities covering CH, F, D, H, SA and GB and celebrated St. Nikolaus Day in the Alsacian style eating Manalas. Thanks Monique!!!

Here are some photographs of the youngsters enjoying their day out.

Hi Susan,
this looks like great fun for all, working the dogs appeals to me but I wouldn't have a clue where to start or how to go about it, 1 of my Eddie daughters would love it she searches out her toys in the garden and then carries them for ages. What is the best way to look into finding out what is involved?

I love the light in your pictures and the sharpness. What was your camera and the objective you use? I´m bored with mine and want more sharpness. I have come to the conclusion that my objective is too "slow" and does not take enough light...did I make myself understood?? :)

Touché, Monique ;-))

Thanks for your comments, what I liked most was seeing so many Irish where usually my redheads stand alone amongst gordon and english setters - it was quite a rare occasion...
