Thinking about our members in Queensland

Wasn't too sure where to put this comment. Keep safe to all those facing the upcoming cyclone.

Yes - our thoughts are with all of you!  I just saw the satellite image of Yasi - terrifying!  It's almost the same size as the whole of QLD.

Definitively thinking of you all, hoping Yasi will leave you in peace, please let us know about you and how you are managing. Take care and keep safe.

For those who don't know what is about to hit our friends in Queensland, Australia, check out this link:

Cyclone Yasi

To put the size of the cyclone in perspective, the white outline on the left shows the entire eastern coastline of Australia.

My sister and her family are in Brisbane. My thoughts and prayers are with everyone there. It is a very scary time for them all.

Queensland has been hit so hard, first with the terrible flooding and now a cyclone.

Thinking of you all and keep your precious darling Setter babies safe.

Thank-you for your concern and best wishes.

We have just had Cyclone Yasi upgraded to a Cat 5 cyclone this morning.  This means that the whole North Qld coastline (abt 1000kms) will experience the effects of this cyclone.  Mackay (where I live) will receive equivalent to a Cat 1; Townsville a Cat 2 and the poor people of the more northern cities will experience the full effects of this moster with 320kms winds.  Landfall expected around midnight tonight?

Please pray for the safety of people and animals while everyone prepares and lives through this horrific event bearing down on the Qld coast.

thanks

Cheryl

hi Cheryl... Hope you are o.k. and all of yours. I think QLD has experienced enough over the last few months. Are you staying at home or going elsewhere?
