Wow, some independent girl... I like the view of her loping along in the far far distance - reminds me of a wolf... does she need you at all??

She is not that independent in the forrest, it seems like she adapts her search to the terrain she is hunting in.Her father does the same, he is going wide at the open terrains but is also Norwegian champion at the forrest trials cup. As you could see this is a very open terrain so we want her to go wide. Off course we don't want her to go much more out than this so we have to focus on her keeping in touch, specially that se wount go over the hills and out of sight.

Both great and hunting; in Norway we go trials in upwind, downwind, sidewind (the wind direction does not matter). As long as we can see the dog AND the terrain is covered it is ok. Better to go large than small... We found some grouse, but did not catch it on tape this time.
