I've had and eventful christmas with Lexi, at 11pm on Christmas Eve I noticed a funny smell about her and started to sniff her over and discovered an large protusion from her rear end which definately hadn't been present earlier in the day, Took her to the emergency vet who tried to push it back in but this didn't work and so she was operated on on Christmas Day.  They ended up removing this growth.  The vet when he first saw it wasn't too concerned but when he removed it he said it had a large blood supply so is now a bit more concerned.  I,m going to take some samples to my vet tomorrow to get them anaylised so fingers crossed that it is nothing malignent as she is only 3 years old.  Then just as I am sitting down for christmas dinner I had a phone call from a chap who said he is the owner of the ferret that luca plucked out of a hedge 2 weeks ago, so I had the children in tears about lexi in hospital and then in tears that the ferret was going home.  Hopefully New Year will be less eventful.  Hope everyone is setter land has a happy and healthy 2013.

Oh my goodness, events ike this you could do without. Poor Lexie, I hope she's better soon. Did the vet say it was definately a tumour?  Fingers crossed for the best outcome and setter hugs to Lexies worried mummy. <3

Here's to a better new year. x

That's awful for you and for Lexi,I hope it is not what you fear.

Thinking of you,

Howard

So sorry to hear about all your woes on Christmas Eve/Day Susan. Thank goodness for emergency vets, sounds like everyone's pretty confident that Lexi is fine, a lot to deal with at such a busy full on time. We will keep you and Lexi in our thoughts. Take care Dianne and redkids x

Fingers crossed that it is nothing nasty for Lexi. Think Santa knows what the children want for next Christmas. Ferrets do such a funny sideways run you can't help but love them.

Love and prayers being sent  your way that's it's nothing.  Give her a hug from me & my redhead

Oh my goodness I do  hope that it doesn't become to serious and Lexi is now over the worse.
