Home for Irish Setter Lovers Around the World
As an interim measure until the official register provided by the Kennel Club is fully up and running, the SEISC has decided to offer an opportunity for owners to post their recent PRA rcd4 DNA test results.
This will be on our PRA rcd4 page.
This is available to all owners worldwide not just SEISC members and will be in a similar format to that already used by the Kennel Club.
For further details please see the Club website www.seisc.co.uk.
Listing will be available sometime today - slight kink in my "html" !!

A good news just before Christmas !!!!
Willow is clear and if wondered if there was a list somewhere.. do i have to email the club site to put it on ..
Is there a Facebook page for Rcd-4??? What is it under, can you tell me?
Thanks for that - will go & take a look!
read it, wonder how many people mated clears to clears that may turn out to be carriers or worse :(
When a clear x carrier apparently produces an affected, there is more than one possible explanation
An unreliable test
A mistake in testing lab, samples getting mixed up, faulty proceedures, clerical error
The DNA sample submitted was not from the named dog
Unreliable pedigree , one or both of the named dogs are not the parent of the tested dog
I wouldnt start panicking about the reliability of the DNA test yet!
I have just posted on the Animal Health Trust Face Book page the question is it true that they are re-testing 2,000 Irish Setters as it is on ES and there are many people now worried about this rumour.
666 Replies.............truly the number of the beast!
