Hi Angela, I wish you all the best. I have been reading this discussion, but I don't have any contribution, except that I hope all goes well and you and your girl get through this without too much pain and a good road to recovery soon. regards

Hi Jacky, your boy Seamus has a lovely expression, like my boy, Clancy. I think our boys may be half brothers?! Is he a son of Brodie from Carmel?

About Me:
I live on 17 acres, north of Mackay, North Queensland, Australia. I have owned and loved English Type Irish Setters since 1988 when I got my first male Irish from Mary Clarke and Norm Clarke from the Rhuboda Kennel in Brisbane, Queensland. I then also bought a female from Rhuboda and bred my first litter in 1992.
Since then I have owned Irish Setters from the Kelliher, Brazenwinds, Linleymvorne and Nanyima Kennels.

A red kid from traditional parents means that both parents carry the "red" gene. Breeding a red to a red means (I jolly well hope!) that the kids will be red. Mine are all descended from embryos originally imported from South Africa by Landcorp NZ & implanted into surrogate mums. Ain't technology grand LOL ...

My buck Benson (after the TV show!) is so dark he looks black but he is a maroon colour. My girls range from Marmite colour through to milk chocolate colour. I've just bought 2 red doe kids - they arrive at the end of January once they're weaned. By that time Coco should have kidded (or burst LOL!)

Hi Cheryl, are your Boers traditional or red? I'm expecting a red Boer baby shortly - when Coco is ready, that is!!

Cheryl, Thank you so much for your kind comment about Ivy!
Ivy left a big gap in our lives...a great horse in every way. Seems almost worse loosing a horse, perhaps becourse they seem so strong and powerful...
