I got my first Irish when I was 11 years old. Her name was Molly & she was a beautiful Two Acres bitch bred by the late Mrs Coates. Unfortunately, Molly became ill at the young age of 5 years and passed away. I was so lost without Molly that soon after along came Tia, a bright bubbly girl bred by Mrs Savage (Tagamago). Tia is 10 and a half years old now and still as bright and bubbly. She has a few problems but never complains. She loves nothing more than being outside running free, playing with her ball or splashing in the muddiest of puddles! Typical setter style. 4 years ago, I aquired another Irish who goes by the name of Managh. He was brought into my work place (a vet practice) to be euthanaised for being aggressive towards other dogs & people. However, when he walked in I just had this niggling feeling that we could be about to destroy an innocent dog. He just didn''t seem the aggressive type. With this in mind I decided to have a word with the vet, luckily she felt the same as me so we asked for permission for myself to keep Managh to see if he would fit in with Tia. The man agreed & we have never looked back. Managh is the least aggressive dog I know & I have met quite a few!! He is so laid back he sometimes doesnt want to go for a walk! He loves affection and is sociable with other dogs so I most definately made the right decision to keep him.
